Role Summary

2026 Analytical R&D LNP Characterization (PhD) internship with AbbVie, focusing on mRNA-LNP characterization and integration of a multi-attribute instrument to enhance current analytical methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop methods such as DLS, MALS, Encapsulation, and HPLC to support optimal LNP formulation.
  • Evaluate the capabilities of a multi-attribute instrument to integrate with current analytical methodologies.
  • Author SOPs and update periodically at cross-functional meetings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a PhD in analytical chemistry or related field
    • Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Expected graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027
    • Hands-on experience with basic analytical methods to characterize LNP
    • Experience working with DLS, MALS, Encapsulation, HPLC
